As the winter layers are slowly being stripped away, we find ourselves searching for those outfit staples that will help us transition smoothly from one season to the next. Stripes might be just what you are looking for, as they can be the focal point of the outfit or only a part of the whole.

Striped fashion pieces can range in color, size, and placement depending on the look you might be going for. This country was founded on the stars and the stripes, so be a star and show off your stripes!

fashion stripesq2With a simple black and white striped tee, your outfit can go from drab to fab. Sophomore Shannon Nace shows how her striped shirt spices up a pair of blue jeans, and adding jacket makes her outfit versatile from class to varying weekend activities.

Sophomore Connor Reinhard demonstrates how varying widths and colors of stripes on a shirt still exemplifies the striped look, but helps to change things up a bit. Reinhard’s striped button down is ready to go from an afternoon jam session to a night with friends in a nearby city.

Stripes might appear simple, but sometimes it is the simplicity of an outfit that make the pieces come together. Do not overlook stripes and see how you might be able to add it to your next big or small fashion decision.
