Eyas Eggstravaganza

Kelly Gordon

Easter may have come and gone, but the festivities are not over quite yet. Eyas, the Student Alumni Council, presents an egg-cellent opportunity to hang out with some friends this Friday, April 10 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. at the Union.

Traditional Easter egg hunts can be overdone, so this year Eyas decided to switch up the routine and put a spin on the conventional ideas of an egg hunt. Campus will soon be covered in glow-in-the-dark eggs, including golden eggs, as the hunt takes place at night.

Be a part of this new tradition and grab your friends to join the hunt to find the Golden Eggs. These special eggs contain cash, gift cards, and electronic prizes. In the past, Eyas has given out iPads, flat screen TV’s, cameras and Beats headphones.

Hunt for those Golden Eggs and be one of the winners this year. A cash prize will also be awarded to the person who collects the most regular eggs around campus.

This event will continue into Saturday, April 11, when Eyas welcomes back alumni with children to participate in a more typical Easter egg hunt. This enables alumni to come back and still feel connected to campus. The hunt will begin on Eisenhower lawn and conclude outside the Homestead with refreshments.

Before you become an alum, be a part of this newly renovated tradition by breaking out your flashlights and spending time with friends. Rain or shine the hunt will go on so come and join the egg hunting journey. The Union will be the hub of this event so be sure to stop by and grab some ice cream before you begin.
