The Student Activities Board has announced that their 2015 spring concert will feature singer-songwriter Ben Rector. The show will be a solo, acoustic set by Rector on Mar. 28 at Parmer Hall in the High Center.

“Ben Rector’s focus and mission is to perfect and hone the craft of music making with lyrics that aspire to be timeless and invite one to revisit over and over,”said Allen Fernandez, SAB’s Concert Executive.

Rector has been in high demand from students for the last few years, which lead to SAB booking him. The organization greatly appreciates his musicianship as well as his mission to create music of the highest quality.

“An Evening with Ben Rector”will also be the first SAB concert to be held in Parmer Hall. This venue was selected because he will be the sole artist for concert and the performance will be completely acoustic.

“SAB decided the state of the art acoustics and beautiful aesthetics of the performance hall would be perfect to pair with Ben Rector in crafting an incredibly intimate and beautiful sounding show,”said Fernandez.

More information from SAB about times and ticket prices will be announced tomorrow on Mar. 4.

Ben Rector is a singer-songwriter from Nashville. His last album came out in 2014 titled “Live in Denver.”

This spring he will be supporting NEEDTOBREATHE on their Tour de Compadres tour.
